About GameTable Online
GameTable Online (GTO) is a Florence, Massachusetts based company that provides, technology, services and expertise for putting turn-based, multi-player strategy games online.
GameTableOnline.com was originally conceived as a way for tabletop gamers to fit boardgaming into their busy lives. Development of the platform and the first suite of games began in 2000. GameTableOnline.com went live in 2003.
While developing that first suite of games, it quickly became apparent that the technology being created by GTO was something that would have great value and utility outside of its original purpose. Nothing like it was available on the market then as now.
In 2007, while preparing the Metagame™ platform for license, GameTable Online was contacted by Wizards of the Coast to help them with their Gleemax™ boardgame portal. Shortly thereafter, Wizards of the Coast became the second client for Metagame.
Today, GTO continues to develop and improve Metagame while creating exciting multiplayer game experiences for Gametableonline.com and other clients.
